Ok its official blogging is not my medium. So this is a special blog :) .
Highlights from the un-blogged realm:
Other highlights include launching the universe project website(at least in a beta form). Please go check it out . . . any ideas and creative friction are welcome
Finally if you haven’t been to MoMA NYC . . . YOU MUST GO! I'd wanted to go for years but I’d never had the time. I spent just and hour on floor 3 & 4 at the end of the day when it was almost empty of people . . . for any fellow creative out there, its like drinking the purest elixir of creativity . . . these masterpieces expand the creative mind to a point of almost bursting.
Ok that’s it I’m blogged-out
Giving a rather intense 5 word speech at the 2007 webby awards “Get Enlightened or Die Trying!”, followed by hanging out with the Onion guys at the after-party (these guys are as smart as you'd hope – Gen X / second tier)

Meeting up with one of the directors from Hearst publishing (works on the 37th floor – I thought that was particularly impressive, oh and Terri and I also hung out with the Youtube founders. ( Steve was a real menche, the other guy was a bit of a ****). Anyhow enough about that . . .
We released the latest issue of WIE. It was probably the hardest design job I’ve ever done . . . the goal was for Paul and I to design this issue in a way that wouldn’t objectify, stereotype, patronize or exploit the women, but instead would cause one to question "what is woman, past-present-future? 70% of all available royalty free imagery uses the female form – I’d say 98% of that creates a stereotype that is flagrantly designed to help sell products. I tasted what it must be like for a women to present herself . . . Guys we haven’t a clue! . . . If a women wears make-up she’s making a statement, if she wears jewelry she’s making a statement, if she wears trousers she’s making a statement. And guess what . . . if she doesn’t wear make-up she’s making a statement, if she doesn’t wear jewelry she’s making a statement, if doesn’t wear trousers . . . . etc etc. Damn! And if that wasn't enough everybody has an opinion of how a women’s form should look . . . its really quite intense. Anyhow I settled for silhouettes (Apple knows what its doing I guess :)) Also I learned that to make a women less attractive often ends up being pretentious and patronizing—go figure! I guess to any women reading this all this is obvious but I think for men this is a bit of a revelation. I’m also struck by how much freer men are to not conform to the social norms in our culture . . . And Men & Women are both responsible for this predicament.
